It is still one of the best adventure games, having it all:
- great story and characters
- great character art and very specific, engaging music
- seamless integration of story and puzzles – no artificial obstructions to story progress
- surreal level of evil that is encountered in a real world theme
- a chance to visit Soviet Union shortly after its collapse in 1991.
You also get to express yourself enough in how you treat other people and the whole game is lightning fast – no walking, loading or UI delays.
You could mistakenly see it as a VN (visual novel), since it’s very reliant on dialogue and shows only static scenes, but don’t be fooled.
